'The art of ARNALDO MICCOLI, Apulian by origin and American by choice, displays an articulated and multiple nature, which is tied both to the old world and the new, both to the far atavic past and the most recent present.
Having been Franco Gentilini's disciple at the Academy of Arts in Rome, he follows his teacher with regards to his choices, which have changed little during all his career: figuration yes, but a figuration far from realistic virtuosity being an end in itself, from baroquian and fanatically self-centered involutions which are typical of De Chirico and of expressionisms in the style of "Guttuso" or "Carlo Levi" '.
